LifeCare Providers: How does LifeCare select the providers they refer?
LifeCare only refers providers who meet their states (or local) licensing requirements. LifeCare’s research and development department continually networks with government agencies and reputable organizations worldwide to obtain current information on providers. As an added measure, LifeCare specialists prescreen and qualify potential providers for each case to verify their compliance with state/local requirements, availability, accuracy of information and compatibility with each employees personal requirements (location, cost, programs and services, staff type(s) and qualifications, days and hours of operation, etc.). Plus, many of the providers we refer exceed minimum qualifications by obtaining accreditation through leading, authoritative organizations within their industry (e.g., nursing homes may be accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations; continuing care retirement communities by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, etc.). Keep in
