Left Handedness – What is Left-Handedness, and is it a Problem?
Definition: Simply put, left handedness is the tendency to use the left hand for manual tasks. Most people have varying degrees of left handedness. Some use the left hand exclusively for most tasks. Others are less left hand dominant and may switch from one hand to the other, depending on the task and the fine and gross motor skills involved. They ages-old idea that left handedness is a disability or a form of mental disability is completely false. All children must be permitted to learn and perform manual tasks in the way they feel most comfortable.
