LED anchor light
A LED anchor light is a newer type of an already existing marine signaling light known as an “anchor light”, defined by international regulations as a 360 degree white all round light with a given range of one NM (Nautical Mile), two NM, or three NM depending on how long overall the boat or ship using it is, which functions to signal boats (vessels) within a given distance from an anchored vessel at night that the vessel showing it is “at anchor”, that is it is “not under power or sail or making way”. It is a type of light known as a “marine navigation light”, the requirements for which are given in COLREGS, published under the auspices of the CIE (International Commission on Illumination), and in the United States by the United States Coast Guard and in the standards of the American Boat and Yacht Council, Inc.
