Leaving the room of an Aggressive NPC will Pacify the char?

When you pick a lock in a closed room, then the occupant (NPC) there will usually pull his weapon and attack you. Example: After solving the side quest that had to do with Conn Krannach as quest giver, you start to unlock the chests in the Hut of Conn Krannach. He will attack you. But if you leave the hut, let the door close, then enter the hut again, Conn will not longer attack you. This only seems to work if the NPC does not actually follow you through the door, and stays behind. It also seems to have to do with quest giver NPCs that are at times locked to a certain location. Comment: Strange… not quite sure if this is a bug, or a valid trick. I do not recommend aggravating NPCs though, even if there seem to be a few additional ways to get out of trouble again.
