LCD Monitor – Will it work with a old computer?

It should work… you can buy an adapter to go from VGA to DVI input if your monitor only has DVI. Also, the worst case is that your video card won’t support a decent resolution on the monitor. Fortunately for you video cards are very cheap. You can buy one for < $50 that will give you plenty of resolution if for some reason the one in your computer doesn't. Try www.pricewatch.com for a great deal on one. The VGA signal is not digital but not all DVI signals are digital either. I have a new 20" monitor and honestly I don't see any difference when I connect it using the digital (DVI) vs analog (VGA) connector. Bottom line, you might need an adapter to connect the monitor... but mine came with two cables (one for VGA and one for DVI) so I didn't need to buy anything extra. I have a Samsung SyncMaster 203B that looks great. best of luck.
