Laptop shuts down contained by the middle of running recovery disk?

I recently have a virus infect my laptop (damnit) and am using my recovery disk to give it a haphazard to start from scratch. Problem is, contained by the middle of running the recovery program, the laptop shuts down without stipulation. As you can imagine, this is enormously frustrating….
