Knowledge Base: Why is RedBubble showing my images rotated?

Most modern cameras have an orientation sensor that knows ‘which way is up’ and records this information in the image data. Even if you edit your image in Photoshop or a similar program, that information can stay in tact, or it might not. How you image looks when you open it up in an editing program does not always reflect what this data is telling RedBubble about ‘which way is up’. This means that sometimes you can upload an image to RedBubble that looks right when you open it on your computer, but shows up the wrong way on the site. Because different editing programs will handle this data differently, solving this problem for some people would cause it for others. So unfortunately there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to this.
