No, of course no one (at least most sane people) should want an animal to suffer. I think all animal testing for things like perfumes, make up, fabrics etc. etc. should be stopped. However, realistically, so far they are unable to design a computer that exactly duplicates a human. Some medical testing will go on. If not there will never be treatments for diseases such as aids, diabetes and so on. Its easy for people to say stop all testing but they don’t think it through. As far as testing on criminals as someone said. On the surface that sounds good. But we have human rights and we can’t torture people. What about the many criminals who are wrongfully convicted then later they are found to be Innocent. . Also I am glad that you are asking a reasonable question rather than the hard line some radical (esp. PETA) people do.
