k so you have to a member of paypal in order to purchase items from e-bay and be a member of e-bay in order to pay through paypal; or how does it work?
You have to be a member of ebay to purchase from them. There is no way around that. Many sellers on eBay prefer to accept payment via PayPal, but some eBay sellers take other forms of payment also; credit card, money order, etcetera. You do NOT have to be a member of eBay to get into PayPal or vice-versa. They are two entirely separate organizations. However, if you are trying to purchase something from a seller that *ONLY* accepts payment from PayPal then you need to be a member of both. Personally, I am a member of eBay but do not have a PayPal account. I have made a few purchases, mostly from sellers that accepted Visa and a couple by check/money order from private sellers with a lot of positive feedback and a reputation for good business practices. Oh, and credit cards have fraud protection built in so there really isn’t any more risk than there is handing your card to a waitress at a restaraunt.
