In certain areas, tax credits and incentives together may cover more than half of the total cost. These incentive and reward programs will only remain in place until solar adoption rates reach a certain level, which makes converting now a smart move. Through 2016, the federal government is offering a 30% (uncapped) tax credit on solar system installations. The Arizona state tax credit is 10% with a $25,000 cap.
