I’ve spent these last few days reading ‘Lesbian Nuns:Breaking the Silence” it has been both informative and sad to read at the same time. The women who left sound so angry and hurt…not only at their former communities, but also at the Church. Not that I blame them, I’m sure I would too if I had lived through what they did. It’s just that I don’t want to be bitter or angry, neither the Church nor my Community made me gay and I don’t want this to turn into a reason for me to blame them. I guess I am still very naive when it comes to the Church and it’s ability/willingness to accept me as a homosexual woman. Anyway…I just wanted to share a bit of what’s going on in my head.
