It will depend on what type of cast/brace they use to immobilise the wrist. I broke my arm on New Years day this year and was in a cast for exactly 5 weeks. I used the turbo trainer almost every day during this period but the cast/arm became very sweaty and itchy. It didn’t smell too good by the end either…..However I eventually moved the trainer into the garage where it was cool and had a large fan blowing on my torso and another fan blowing directly onto the arm. That helped quite a bit. I ended up keeping intensity at around 75% of MHR any higher and the sweating was just unbearable. I would suspect that you’ll be able to keep up your basic endurance but you’ll struggle to work on the speed – unless you don’t mind smelling bad. Also you might struggle to put any weight on the wrist for quite a while.
