Just as Roman & Greek Mythology is now a myth, will Christianity go the same way?
Christian history greatly contradicts Greek Mythology. The story of the Olympian gods relates to Alexander the Great. Descendants of the generals of Alexanders call themselves the sons of the gods.
According to Christianity, all the fallen angels descendants were destroyed by the flood at the time of Noah. This kills the stories of the Greek Mythology as having anything to do with the creation of Earth and even the Sumerian stories.
The revival of the stories of the human gods is really born with Alexander the Great and the expansion of the Greek civilization.
Technically the word mythology doesn’t mean that something is false.A myth is a sacred story that communicates the basic beliefs of a people about where they came from, where they are going, what they are, what their values are, how the world functions, and their place in that world. Whether the events in the story ever actually happened that way or not is irrelevant. The truth of the story is in the ideas communicated, not the historical (or ahistorical) details of the narrative itself. A historical event can become mythological in function. A story about an event that never really occurred can become mythological in function.
Most of the stuff from Christendom IS Roman and Greek mythology. Dec. 25 is the birthday of the Roman god Mithras, immortal soul/trinity/hellfire are Platonic (Greek) philosophy. So those religions haven’t died they turned into Christendom. Those religions will not make it into the new system, but all who died and are in the grave/hell, will come back to learn true Bible religion when Jesus rules the earth and turns it back to a paradise. Revelation 20:5, 13, 14, Isaiah 65:17-66:1, Matthew 5:5, 6:10.
