Just added my name to organ donor list, feeling nervous, can you please reasure me?
It is wonderful that you made that decision.Thousands of people die every day because the organs they require to stay alive just arent available.You dont have to feel nervous because they arent going to let you die just to give your organs to someone.I felt that if I signed my organ donor card then if I got really ill they wouldnt give me the best possible care because they would want to let me die in order to give my organs to others but I eventually realized how silly that thinking was.Now I am comforted by the thought that when I pass on I will have a part of myself live on in another.Purely selfish but gratifying to me lol.
Don’t worry! I’m an organ donor too. You’ll never know about it’coz you’ll have passed on when they take your bits! And just think you’ll be giving one or more other people a second chance at life once your time is over. I would just let your family know as some people/religions can be a bit funny about donating.
