Playing “up” is highly discouraged and the general policy is NO! Also see the next question. If you feel your player needs to be more challenged, AYSO has other means that should satisfy this. Ask the Region if an AYSO+ program is being offered and find out when try-outs are. If not, the Region can give you information on other adjacent Regions that are offering an AYSO+ program. AYSO+ is a program run at the Area level for teams that select players based on their skill levels. To participate in an AYSO+ team, you must try out and make the team. If you do not make the team, you will be placed on a normal AYSO regional team.
