Julia, what was it like to join the Wolf Pack as one of its few female members?
Jones: It was literally like walking into a frat house at 2 o’clock in the morning with beer pong. And then they all see you and you’re the only girl. [She laughs.] It was very overwhelming. There was so much energy. When I met you, we were all working together. And fortunately, their energy and my energy off screen mirrored a lot of what was going on when we were filming. Meraz: It was good casting. The relationships, the way we bonded is very organic. I can’t imagine being in a position where you’re joining in a situation that’s already been established, but Julia is such a strong person, and that’s attractive. That’s an attractive quality. She’s strong, she’s independent. No one’s in this film to be just blown over. You’re here to make your point and do you job, so that’s so great she was able to do that. And also, anyone who gets cast in these films, you tip your hat off to them. You know it’s a process to get the job. There are thousands of people who are wanting these roles. Jone
