It’s no joke: in December 2001 she really did announce plans to compete in the 2002 Open Rallying Championship. At first sight, it did appear extremely odd. Jo hasn’t got a driving licence, so she couldn’t actually drive the car. However she could compete as co-driver (i.e. navigator) in some of the competitions. She did in fact take part in one rally (in Wales) in April 2002.
