Newest Videogame Film: Tekken Also on the radar for videogame-to-film adaptations is Tekken. (See right column for remarks from the director.) Supposedly, Jet Li has decided that Hua Yuenjia (Fearless) will not be his last martial arts film after all. The Chinese star of Hero, Lethal Weapon 4, and countless other action films is currently slated to star in the upcoming Tekken film. Jet Li is reportedly set to play “Boxer”, one of the many characters from the popular video game series. Tekken hasn’t gone into production yet, but it’s expected to be shot and released sometime in 2006.
