Jack and Jill went up the hill, did Jack push Jill or were they just clumbsy?
The rhyme goes like this… Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water, Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after. Then up Jack got and off he did trot as fast as he could caper, To Dame Browne who patched his crown with vinegar and brown paper. So…I think that means Jack only bumped his head and got a small knot because brown paper soaked in vinegar was used to help stop swelling and heal scrapes and such. There is no mention of Jill so I’m thinking he left her at the bottom of the hill. I believe there’s another verse to the rhyme but I don’t recall it. Fear not for Jill, I believe she turns out just fine as well.
