I’ve used a lawn weed control product but it didn’t work. Why?
Weed control products need certain conditions to be effective. Here are the main reasons why it may not have worked. • The most common reason weed control products aren’t effective is that they are applied too early in the season. For best results weeds need to actively growing with temperatures consistently above 15° C during the day and above 5° C during the night. • Weeds with small leaves are difficult to control under the best conditions. This includes weed such as Clover, Creeping Charlie and Chickweed. These types of weed generally require 2 or 3 applications of a weed control product at about 7 to 10 day intervals. • During hot and dry conditions your lawn (including weeds) goes into dormancy.
