Photo paper has a different chemical make up than gloss cardstock. Each photo paper manufacturer makes their paper differently and it is not necessarily compatible with dye inks. Experiment with different brands to see what works for you. Ranger Gloss Paper cardstock is a clay-based paper that works well with Distress and other dye inks.
