Ive tried importing several XBoard engines, and most of them don work. Whats going on?
Firstly, you should make sure that you have set up the engine properly by scrutinizing any documentation that you got when you downloaded/purchased the engine. Each XBoard engine is implemented slightly differently, and some engines need external files (such as INI files) to be set up properly before the engine will work. Secondly, if you need to pass any filenames in the command line parameters field when you create the XBoard personality, you should make sure that you type in the FULL PATH to the filename, rather than just the name by itself.
