Ive taken all the core classes for the entry-level position required for a firefighter or paramedic. Now what?
Once the core classes are completed for the entry-level position as a firefighter/paramedic, the student is encouraged to continue in the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Fire Technology or Emergency Medical Technology program. The student will pursue classes in Communication, Mathematics, Arts and Humanities/Social & Behavioral Sciences, and Competencies and Skills based on the specific Program Requirements for either the Fire or EMT Degree. The Associate Degree will afford the student an opportunity to pursue a career move to an Officer position within a Fire Department.
