Ive spoken with and have already done home visits for a number of our clinic patients. Can I fill out the Vineland based on our conversations and my observations within the home setting?
You must still interview the parent directly using the appropriate Vineland form and following standard administrative procedures. Your observations may be helpful in talking with and interviewing the parent, but the Vineland is scored only on the basis of information provided by the respondent. When the interviewer is certain that he or she has obtained enough information from the respondent, the item may be scored.
