Ive signed up with Check Data Systems and submitted a bad check. How will the database affect the bad check writer?
A. The bad check/ACH writer will not be able to open a new bank account with 8 of every 10 banks in the United States. Also, the database will inform over seventy thousand merchant locations not to accept a check presented to them by the bad check/ACH writer. Once flagged in our system, the retail merchant will provide an 800 telephone number for your client to call. The 800 operator will inform the caller that the bad check/ACH writer will be removed from the data base and allowed to write checks AFTER your company is paid in full AND you request us to remove the bad check/ACH writer from the data base.
