A generation usually marks a chapter, era, or period of time from one starting to the next restart. It’s pretty much the equivalent of “versions” that other sites may use. ToyWiz (unfortunately) has a habit of being restarted, where all the content is erased and all the accounts lost. Some were intentional, some weren’t. This has left a dent in the forums in the long run as a few thousand members have been lost every time it’s happened. Some have come back, some haven’t. There have been six generations thus far (this is the sixth). ToyWiz’s current management has no plans to intentionally have any more of these purge periods.
