I’ve seen BSc degrees in Nutrition, what’s the difference between this and the MSc you offer?
On an undergraduate nutrition course (BSc degree) you will usually cover nutrition in its most basic form; looking at how to eat a balanced diet and get the right nutrients from your food. However, our postgraduate course focuses on making people better using food, specifically from the point of view of existing healthcare practitioners. It covers both eating and treating. So you will look at its therapeutic use and how you can advise patients to change their diet in order to treat specific conditions. You will also learn when to send patients for tests and how to interpret the results. In addition, with the research element of the Masters programme you have the chance to develop your own clinical specialism.
