Ive seen ads for web services that charge very little for webpages/sites. Why are you more expensive?
Just because you “know HTML” or have an HTML editor, doesn’t mean you can design an effective site. There is no substitute for years of design training, computer programming and experience. What you’re really paying for is this experience. When you compare work similar to ours you’ll see that our prices are actually lower than what you’ll find elsewhere. Also, many of the services that advertise low costs in the design aspects of a website make it up on the back-end. They either make the bulk of their money from maintaining the site after it’s up and running (through a package deal – see next question) or they may own a hosting company and use inexpensive design as bait when actually their focus is hosting, not design and development.
