Ive restored from a backup on CD or CD-RW, but now it says my ComicBase Database can be opened. Whats up??
Some PC backup utilities (including Phillips Write2CD Backup) mark files as “Read Only” if they’re being backed up to a CD or CD-RW. Unfortunately, this prevents the database from being used when it’s copied back from the CD. If you’ve restored from a CD and you’re having trouble getting your database to open, right-click on the database file, choose Properties, then uncheck “Read Only”. The next time you launch ComicBase, the database should open properly. ComicBase 6.0.3 (and later) handle this issue automatically.
