Ive recently discovered that some of the food I was eating was developing some mold in my refrigerator. Does this mean that I now have candida?
Dear C.Y., This does not necessarily mean that you have candida. It’s actually very hard to say what it means except that you should throw this food away. Certain molds, as you know, are used to make certain foods like cheese. Molds are used to make penicillin and antibiotics. So ingesting molds is not necessarily going to give someone candida. If your digestive system has destroyed these molds with hydrochloric acid, it may not be a problem. You may want to have a stool culture done to see whether or not there is any problem in your system. In your letter you did not really say how you were feeling, or whether you had any reactions to this. So perhaps you’d want to write me back with more information.
