• If you know the department that it claims to come from, you can call them. If it appears to have come from the IT department, you can call the HelpDesk at 1-4000 for verification or forward the e-mail to ITService@mcg.edu. A good rule of thumb is that if you think that an e-mail is not legitimate, then it probably is not. Remember, the IT department will *NEVER* ask for you to provide personal information (especially your login and password) through e-mail.
