Ive received a conditional offer for a place on a Strathclyde Chemistry course but I just know Im going to do badly in one of my Higher/Advanced Higher/A-level subjects. What can I do?
If you suspect that you will do, or have done, badly in an Advanced Higher/Higher/A-level exam for which a condition has been set, there is a chance to do something about it before you get your result. The Faculties of Science and Engineering offer potential students an intensive nine-week Summer School in key subjects. The course has been designed to offer marginal candidates additional instruction in Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics to upgrade their qualifications to entry level. A good performance at Summer School can also compensate for a disappointing exam result that becomes known later. Selecion for the Summer School is made at the discretion of Academic Selectors for the degree courses. If you feel you would benefit from this course please contact our Summer School Co-ordinator on 0141 548 4595 to obtain further details.
