I’ve read quite a few comments in the local press. Is it true that the Council has received a significant number of objections yet made a decision to go ahead regardless?
No. Formal objections (in writing) to the Wood Lane planning application totalled just eight individuals. No petitions were submitted. Those people were read out at the planning meeting and some took the opportunity to speak to the Committee. The Committee voted unanimously in favour of the planning application.
