Ive never received public assistance and Im receiving support payments. How is the fee collected?

When you have received at least $500 is support, the next $25 in support collections will be retained for the fee. The following example illustrates how the fee is collected and retained. In this example the monthly support obligation is $200 per month. Month One – A $200 payment is received and is issued to the custodial parent as current support. Month Two – A $200 payment is received and is issued to the custodial parent as current support. Month Three – A $200 payment is received. The first $100 is issued to the CP as current support. The next $25 is retained for the fee. The remaining $75 is issued to the CP as current support.
