Ive never had any training or experience in graphic design. Will I learn how to create Ads or Brochures when I finish the 2-day course on Photoshop and InDesign?
The classes are structured to develop an understanding of the components of the software programs, how they work and how they interact. All the important tools and features are thoroughly explained. In that an ad is essentially a rectangle with graphics and/or text, yes you’ll learn how to create different sized documents and how to use text. But we don’t teach graphic design or advertising techniques or how to best lay out an ad and so forth. The same would go for brochures in InDesign, you would learn the tools – but it’s not a class in brochure design or creation specifically. It’s a class to learn how InDesign works so that you can use the tools to create what you want. Graphic designers have had years of training and/or schooling to learn graphic design. Design is not something we teach in our classes. We teach the software and we are very good at that.
