Roads are generally less congested than most of Northern Europe. The motorways are extremely good – absolutely nothing like the M25! Wet weather driving is a rarity, hence slippery roads are too. It normally takes a few days of being careful to get used to driving on the right and doing things ‘the other way round’. Most of the road signs are the same so don’t cause a problem. Spain is a huge country with lots of open spaces and places of interest. Touring inland by car is very popular. The main coastal road is busy during August but generally people from Northern Europe are used to much worse!
