Ive modified a Word Template file, but when I try to view new documents created using the new template, I don see my changes. What happened?

You mistakenly tried to open the template file (.dot) by double clicking on the filename. Doing so opens a document file based on the template, but does not change the template file. To open a template file, you must RIGHT CLICK on the filename and select the “Open” command from the drop down list box.
