Ive lost my theory test certificate for dvla can i still take my practical driving test without it?
I run a driving school and I can tell you that most of the answers above are WRONG 🙂 You CAN take your Practical Test without your Theory Test cert. You are asked to take it with you and the examiner will sometimes ask to see it (note the word “sometimes”), but not having it with you is not in itself a reason for cancellation of the test (not taking both parts of your Provisional Driving Licence with you is a reason for cancellation though…so don’t lose them!). Trust me, lots of people turn up at the Test Centre without their TT certs and are allowed to take their tests… What you CAN’T do without a TT cert is book your Practical Test online. If you wish to book a Practical Test and can’t find your TT cert, you have to ring the DSA test booking line (0300 200 1122), provide them with the details they ask for and they will do a check on the system to make sure that you have passed your Theory Test.
