The Corps will move its current human resource systems into Direct Access over the next few years. Direct Access will provide a comprehensive list of positions held by Corps officers as well as job announcements posted by hiring officials. Corps officers will be able to survey these positions and job announcements, assess the skills sets and experience needed for various positions of interest, and plan accordingly. This will allow all Corps officers to actively engage in their career. Additionally, when an OPDIV or agency requests a job posting in Direct Access, OCCO will be able to find qualified and interested officers for the position using Direct Access. We envision that OCCO will email highly qualified officers and alert them to the OPDIV/ agency posting in question. The officer will choose whether or not to apply to the position. Direct Access will help to facilitate good matches between officers and hiring officials. Officers can continue to look to listserv messages and USAJobs
