No. I have found that conversions are too expensive and not that satisfactory, even if they function correctly, which in not guaranteed. It is much better to simply buy a decent .22 practice pistol. You don’t need to practice with your service pistol; that is an old wives tale. What you are practicing is focusing on the front sight, sight alignment and trigger control and those principles are the same for all pistols. What you gain from shooting a real .22 pistol will transfer just fine to shooting your centerfire pistol.
