The technology of Indirect Metal Halide fixtures for tennis facilities still surpasses the technology of fluorescent fixtures. At this point, the foot candle levels would be compromised in a tennis facility if fluorescent fixtures were used in comparison to Indirect Metal Halide Fixtures. As far as energy savings, a watt is still a watt regardless of what fixture is used. If your current light levels are not meeting your expectations, it might be as simple as cleaning and re-lamping your fixtures.
