I’ve just received authorized access to a dbGaP study; how do I go about requesting data for it?
Just follow these steps: 1 Log in to the dbGaP Authorized Access system, and click on the “My Requests” tab to go to the “My Requests” page.2 Once on the “My Requests” page, click on an approved dataset’s request number (first column). This will take you to the “Access Request” page.3 Select the files you wish to down load (Please see FAQ re limiting download size) link to FAQ re limit to archive size.4 Create a password that you will use to access the files you selected, select the archive type you want, and click the “Send Request” button.5 Once you click the “Send Request” button, archive generation is started. When the archive generation is complete, you will be notified by email. At that point, the data can be downloaded.
