Ive just been diagnosed with underactive thyroid?

You mean celiac disease? Hypothyroid & celiac disease are both very controlable. I would suggest asking your doctor about Armour Thyroid. It’s not a synthetic thyroid med & is much better for for you. Your doctor will adjust it as you need. Celiac can be controlled by avoiding gluten, which is a lot of foods, read the labels on everything. More & more companies are producing food without gluten or wheat or yeast, etc…. When you change your diet & take armour thyroid you WILL start to feel better, but you HAVE to stay on it. Don’t give up.
