Ive just added Pond HealthGuard™ to my pond and now there is all kinds of foam and suds at the surface and my fish are dying left and right. What is going on?
You must have used Demalin in your system at some point in the past. Even if it has been many months ago, it is still present in your system. When Demalin and HealthGuard™ interact you get the foaming that you’re seeing. This mixture is very toxic and is what is killing the fish. The only way to get rid of the Demalin is to do a 100% water change. We don’t address this issue on the label because Demalin is a FDA controlled substance and technically you probably shouldn’t have been using it all.
