Ive Java 1.5 installed but the StainedGlass website kept telling me that I do not have the correct version of Java installed, what should I do?
This usually happened if you’ve switched back and forth between different versions of Java. For some reasons, IE won’t load the correct Java version in the browser even if it shown you’ve the latest version in the Java Control Panel. Here are a couple of things that you can try (after quiting Internet Explorer): 1. Open the “Java Control Panel” (“Start->Control Panel->Java”). – Click on the “Advanved” tab – Open “APPLET tag support” – Uncheck the option “Internet Explorer”, click “Apply” – Check “Internet Explorer”, click “Apply” 2. Open “Internet Options” (Start->Control Panel->Internet Options). – Click on the “Advanced” tab – Uncheck the option “Use JRE 1.5.0_XX for applet (requires restart)”, click “Apply” – Check “Use JRE 1.5.0_XX for applet (requires restart)”, click “Apply” 3. Clear the cache.
