Ive heard that the rubber infill materials used in artificial grass may float. Is that true, and will that cause any problems during heavy rains?

The rubber used in our infill process is cryogenically treated. That means it has been through a process to eliminate air particles from the rubber by freezing it to extreme temperatures during the pulverization process. Removing the air makes the crumb rubber less likely to float. Just after a new installation, a small amount of rubber is lost from the top of the surface. This is expected, planned for, and presents no negative impact on the artificial grass.
