In certain circumstances, the District Attorney’s Office may seek to have an individual minor tried as an adult. This will usually occur only in serious cases or for repeat offenders. Under recent changes in the law this can happen more easily than before. If you are tried in adult court, almost all of the adult consequences can be applied to you even if you were under the age of 18 when the offense occurred.
