Ive heard that Network Solutions WHOIS server can temporarily block user IP. What can be done to prevent this?
These days some WHOIS servers put restrictions on how often it can be queried from the same IP, or how much connections at a time is accepted. Available Domains domain checker first tries to use original WHOIS server. There are several settings preventing from WHOIS server abusing. But even if WHOIS server decides to block your IP, the domain checker switches to alternative servers and stops using the original one after a few responses that an IP has been blocked. Thus Available Domains users can retrieve recent domain status at any time.
