I’ve heard that my suitcase can catch bed bugs from an airplane, taxi or bus. Can I use BugZip™ during my travels to further protect my luggage?
At your own risk. BugZip™ is not designed to withstand the rigors of traveling or security clearance. While the vinyl is heavyweight and will hold up while being used as recommended, it will likely tear when being thrown around and in and out of a plane, taxi, train or bus. The risk of catching bed bugs is much much smaller while traveling. The main concern is that you can unknowingly be staying in a room infested with bed bugs. The bedroom is the most likely place for bed bugs to latch onto your bags.
