Its not scary at all. Some external organisation require volunteers to fill out a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) form in line with current legislation. All this means is that your criminal records are checked to ensure that you will be a suitable candidate for working with vulnerable people such as children and the elderly. The organisation will inform you if this is a requirement to volunteer on their project.
